The building data can be accessed* using a standard Internet connection and standard Internet browsers. A broadband connection is recommended.
ActiveFacility’s easy-to-use navigation system assists users to move around the complex data within the building information modelling server, using a combination of graphical tools, natural language queries and hierarchical menus.
Aerial photographs of a building are taken (if not already available), loaded on to the ActiveFacility servers and configured as the site navigation background. Users can graphically select a building, a floor of the building or related data.
The ActiveFacility semantics model defines how a user communicates with the system in natural language words and sentences. The terminology used to locate and display all the building data and each of the entities within the building is configured and enhanced by ActiveFacility to suit each client.
ActiveFacility creates and configures reports about a building or entities within the building according to a client’s standards.
* Each client is responsible for nominating system users and their access rights. The administration tasks necessary to manage user access is performed by ActiveFacility.
