ActiveFacility Analysis
- Provides tools to query, report and find information within the building data model.
- These tools can be pre-packaged to provide standard reports, or run as ad-hoc tools to provide answers to random questions such as:
‘Find all air-conditioning registers on the 3rd floor that were installed in ceilings lower than 2.7 metres by contractor ABC’.
ActiveFacility Analysis uses the capabilities of ActiveFacility View to locate and view information within the building data model.
Advantages:
Reports can query any of the data within the data model, including spatial (graphical) data.
Any reporting tool that can access a relational database can be used.
Standard reports and queries are easily built by end-users.
Benefits:
Query: ‘Find all air-conditioning registers on the 3rd floor that were installed in ceilings lower than 2.7 metres by contractor ABC.’
Until now the ability to instantly access the degree of detail requested in the example above has not been possible because the information is part of several different systems – .
The response time in seeking detailed information has been reduced from up to a week (where it is necessary to go out and manually measure a building) to 30 seconds.
